Default new eldorado owner

just bought a 1998 cadillac eldorado. the fuse that runs the left rear tail light in the trunk at some point had gotten hot and melted the wire. i stuck a new wire in the back of the fuse for now so i would have left rear tail light but the license plate lights are not working. i replaced the license plate light lightbulb holders and the bulbs ran a wire to them from same fuse because thats where the manual showed but i cant get them to work yet. blows the fuse, and one of the bulb holders that i replaced had gotten hot at some point. i want to fix it right at some point ofcourse. the harness looks like a nightmare but i think a new fuse box is needed. anywhere i can buy that fuse box at? also need a spare tire. thanks in advance.

Looks like this forum is pretty dead?? I guess it's due to the "unpopularity" of older Cadillac. However, as an older person and seeing how newer cars are, I just getting to like older cars better.
Anyway, my dad has a 98 and it have been sitting for years due to his health and not able to drive. I will try to resurrect his car and see what it will end up. I will post my update here
