have a 95 eledarodo sts with the 4.6 liter northstar. Runs good, except when you shut it off and go to start it again. Really have to crank it over for a period of time before it will start almost like it is choking itself out but once started runs great. Would appreciate any help with this issue at least where to start looking. Only problem is in starting it usally have to crank it over a time or two. it is like it is flooding out only on start up.

 

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Its on the drivers side of the rear fuel rail.
Typical for the symptoms you described.

Pull off the va***n hose that goes to it and check for fuel. If you find any then its shot.
Some times you need to start it with the line off before gas will come out.

If thats not it you may have an injector thats leaking down into a cylinder.
That one is a little tougher to diag.
