01 STS Starting issue and low beams
I guess first of all, love this site! just joined in and have been reading and reading... even stuff i really dont need to know. awesome to see people helping people. anyways, down to business...
i have a 2001 sts. i had a few problems with it lately and wondered if anyone knew what was goin on.
1. When i go to turn it on, i turn it to the first key position and the dash lights up and everything else is as should be. I turn it to 2nd position, and sometimes more than others, everything shuts down. after awhile of steam rising out of my ears it starts, sometimes 2nd try, sometimes not for another 5-10 mins.
2. When i turn my headlight switch to the on position (far right) i have no low beams. all the other lights work but the low beams.
If anyone can help me with either of these problems it would be greatly appreciated.

What type headlights does car had standard or HID ? In under hood fuse box there is a relay and two fuses for low beams, check for 12v at both fuses with switch on. No 12v, check relay does it click when light turned on? 12v, at fuses check connectors at headight bulbs. Module control headlights you may has codes stored.
Ignition deal - Check battery and condition of cables. Check for codes. It could be bad ignition switch
