Default Battery solved problem

Yes, the battery eliminated the problem. I still get a signal that headlights are advised, even on the sunniest day! Weird, but easy to ignore.

Default Thanks Lil Old Lady

Appreciate the response. I'm going to do a code check and look at the sending unit. May have a different problem from yours but, I'll clean my battery terminals anyway. Thanks.

lil ole lady photocell for automatic headlamps is under defroster grill of dash pad. If auto headlight are off and photocell is shaded, message will display. In states where stickers are applied to lower center of windshield it can happen more often.

Dustysdad use OBD to find out what codes are stored and in what modules. Since you love car you need to get FSM set so you can work on it. Checking grounds, battery cable condition are pretty much where you have to start. I suggest you start a new thread related to other issues.

I just wanna comment on lil ole ladys original post. She states that she has plenty of oil at 83%. That is the oil QUALITY before it needs changing...Not the oil QUANTITY! Huge difference and I wonder if she knows how to check the oil quantity?? just wondering.....

Default Checking oil

'Scuse my ignorance! Thanks for clarifying quality vs quantity. Yes, I check oil pretty frequently.

From everything I've been learning...I'd say check the battery.
