I have a 2000 deville with 95k on it. A few months ago, the digital fuel gauge stopped working. It reads varying levels of fuel, but really has lost all sense of reality. Goes up and down at will. The digital mpg still works, but the digital estimated miles to go is just as whacked as the fuel gauge. I'm hoping this is a somewhat simple fix ... Thanks for any insights

 

I dont know how simple the fix is, but I have the same problem. I think that I hve narrowed the problem to the fuel pump sending unit and will replace the unit when the weather warms up. Until then I just fill my tank whenever i have used 12 gallons of fuel
