My car is a 99 deVille de Elegance. The cruise cuts out, goes dead. I'll get it back eventually, but who knows when? I thought the problem might be a connector under the hood, driver's side, toward the windshield, but I've had no consistant luck messing with it. On a trip yesterday I managed to isolated some traits: it's most likely to quit on downhill stretches, when the throttle is likely to be released. I won't have it back again until I come to a complete stop, and then only after I re-set it at speed. I now suspect a speed sensor, in the tranny or wherever it would be. Anyone have anything to offer on this?
