car starts right up when cold,but drive it 10 minutes shut it off and try to restartthe car ...it has a hard time turning over. any suggestion id appreciate it

Hard start when hot points to a few things. In particular a very dirty air filter or poor battery connections, especially the ground. If you check those two things and replace air filter as needed and clean up battery connections things shouldimprove.

 

i just bought the car and it runs really good besides that issue,now i see that the cables are in good shape,it seems to have two wires on each side,the positive runs straight down to the starter and then a second wire goes toward the firewall,the negattive grounds right next to the battery and also has a second wire...what are these for??

 

theres a negative and a positive running to the starter right? or am i mistakin

 

with the motor running, pull the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator, look, feel and sniff for fuel, chances are you have a bad FPR, symptoms, easy cold starts, hard hot starts

 

is the 92 deville fuel pressure regulator in the same spot as a 89 fleetwood? is so where can i find my regulator because i have the same problem.

 

is your 4.5 throttle body injection? or is it PFI?
