2002 DeVille "Gold Package"?
Gentlemen/women, I've never had a Cadillac but have always wanted one. I recently found one for sale by a private owner. It only has 12,000 miles on it! It's black and in perfect condition with gold trimmings. Thing is, the old man is asking for 17K. From looking around on kbb.com and edumunds.com, that's over priced by about 4K. What exactly is the "gold package?" Is that just the trimmings or is it an upgrade to the interior or engine? I've searched the net and found nothing. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Generally, is this a good deal? If not, what should I offer? Thank you for your time.
The gold package is a cosmetic option. Same Northstar engine.
Just for reference, I found a 2002 DTS w/Gold Package for $10,950 albeit the miles are much higher 86,000. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...SRCH2=googbase
Iwouldoffer him theKBB price (being a well maintained low miles car)and explain why. He may not know any better. You want to also check edmunds as well. I don't know how much the gold package cost, but anyway $4000 over KBB sounds a little high to me.

Thanks guys. I actually just called him and offered him KBB value which I don't have a problem with being that it's in mint condition and very low milage. He's going to check his other offers and call me back. My fingers are crossed.
