1989 deville oil change
Hi all, new to this forum, have a quick question because couldn't find it in the search.
We have 1989 cadillac deville and want to change the engine oil and the oil filter.
However, I can't seem to locate the drain plug
, there's no indicator that says 'engine oil' or similar like in the other cars I've done.
There is 1 bolt directly parallel to the ground under the engine which I *think* is correc, but I just want to make sure.
Also, the oil filter is located closer to the top of the hood, do I have to remove anything prior to removing the air filter?
I do not want the oil to leak down onto the cables/engine
I can snap some pictures later tonight...
thanks again
and sorry for the newbie questions...

hi, i found the drain plug, located parallel to the floor
the oil filter was a bit hard to get off, so i put a plastic bag around it while removing it to collect any excess oil
what an awkward design for the oil filter :\
