I don't know what my luck is with radios!! I never turn it off. 2 days a go I get in the car and start it up. Radio is not on(??) so I push the power button,,nothing,,,the clock is on on the right side of display so the fuse cannot be blown can it??This is a standard Bose/factory AM/FM/CD/Tape player.

 

OK,,Just got a "new" radio off ebay,,,put it in and it said "Theftlock on",,then went out,,,I think someone tried to break into my car and activated it,,,,my service guy said to bring the car in and he would unlock(reset) it for me.

 

The radio goes into theft lock when 12 volts to it is interuppted. So ck audio fuses in the trunk. That happened to me. Just pulling the fuse and reinserting it restored the radio. I doubt if someone tried to break in. Appears you have no constant voltage to the radio just switched voltage. Get it unlocked then report back.

 

There are no fuses in the trunk,,,they are under the rear seat. Dealer said he has to enter some codes or plug in to the computer to reset codes. I pulled the audio fuse to check it,,it was OK and I put it back,,still did no good.

 

Dealership unable to unlock new radio and old one,,keep getting U1000. They sent off my old radio to factory to figure it out. They have never seen this.

 

OK,,I got a new factory replacement radio,,same thing,,tech traced problem to the amp behind the rear seat. Reset it and put all back. I now have tunes.
