Default Question on Engine Oil Cooler

I have a 2003 CTS... Love it, however very unusual that it needed new valve covers at 54K miles. That prompted me to buyan extended warranty and bought one that covers almost everything. Now at 63K the "Engine Oil Cooler" went out.

With this being a unique factory part not in all vehicles, it's not covered in the aftermarket warranty. Since this is part of the engine oil system, and the cooling system which are BOTH covered under the warranty how do I get them to cover it.

Is there a part that would be covered by an aftermarket warranty that this "Engine Oil Cooler" replaces? Is there any technical information that can help me in my battle to get this covered?

Please let me know, IM, or E-mail me as this is something that is a $1200 Ooops if I can't figure out how to make this work.

Thanks for any assistance or avenues I can explore.
