Default Traction control light

Hi all.
I have a 1995 Fleetwood Brougham and the traction control light stays on constantly.
Any suggestions on what the problem may be?
Other than that the car runs and works perfectly.

After doing some cleaning I decided to remove the battery cable and leave it off for a bit while I did something else. I reconnected it thinking that it might turn off and nothing. It's still on.
I checked the codes and I found nothing.
Any ideas?

I have a similar problem. I have Traction Control light and ABS light that stay on.

I'll keep checking to see if you get an answer. I get the feeling that this is a common problem with these Cads. (I have a '99 deville) I've read more articles on this.
How is your car running?
Mine was OK for a while but has started missing and the tranny seems to be acting up.
Did you check for codes? I got TCS C1242 current and TCS C1255 history. Still trying to figure out what that means.
Have you done anything else to fix this? I'd like to know what helps. I am not looking forward to putting all sorts of money into this car.

Hi ChevyGranny
The car is running fine. I'm getting about 22mpg with all around driving.
I'm taking it to the shop this week to have them take a look at it. Hopefully it won't be to pricy.
