1992 deville 4.9 liter
Hi,
I have problems when the tank registers 4 gallons or less while making turns. There is a loss of power until the car levels off. Could it be the fuel pump is going bad? Also, if you know, what brand is the best replacement pump? This is a fuel problem, not a brake problem as the category shows.

The problem will evolves around sender assembly. GM revised the sender, it is a somewhat pricey fix.(No, it was never a recall) I dealt with condition as " I need to get gas SOON" never fixed it, I used the cutting out as a get gas or "Hope I brought my walking shoes"

My '93 D-Evil did the same thing, and would also cut out if on an incline, anytime it got down to around 4-3 gallons. New pump/strainer, and the hoses that connect it all fixed the issue on that one.
