Default Trans Question

I am a fairly new Cadillac owner with a question, please. I notice a fairly audible click (one time only) when I put my 2001 Eldorado into reverse. Is that normal or indicative of an issue? Thanks to any and all.

Depends on the severity of the noise. Some noise might be considered "normal" for a vehicle with a fair amount of mileage. Does the car drive/shift ok, with no noises on take-off or when turning corners?

Noise is not severe or loud, more like an electrical click. Happens only once (each time shifted into reverse). Otherwise drives, shifts and turns pretty much ok.
Love my Eldo except for the cost of parts and especially labor. I'm real hands-on with my cars, but get frustrated at the amount of things I can't do on this car.

Thank you.

In that case, it's probably not a major issue. Is it something that you can actually feel when it makes the noise, or just an audible click?
Does the car have a rear view camera?
