Does anybody know of a good source for a working ECM for my 1981 sedan deville with the 6.0 V8 6 4 engine? I have tried a couple reman computers and each one has a different problem. A reman that works is fine an O.E. used one is fine I will gladly send my current one out for repair... I am not picky, I just want the car to run the way it is supossed to. There was a first and second design in '81, mine is a first design with a service # of 1224760. I am in upstate NY and summer doesn't last long here I'd like to put some miles on the old beast before it goes into storage for 9 months. Any help would be greatly apreciated, Thank you.

 

I have the 4760 ECM but I was wanting to get my backup rebuilt before selling it. I bought it and realized it was the wrong one for my model year. It still runs fine but the econo center and the diagnostics won't light up. The back up is the right one so have to get it functioning first. If you can wait for few weeks fine, if not thats fine too. I paid $225 for it.

 

If you tired from it and not want to hold it so you can sell it on a shop or any online selling site, so simply the best option to sale it because it won,t work properly for you.
