Default Wheel corrosion and air leaks.

Hello. We have a 2015 SRX. The wheels started developing slow leaks due to wheel corrosion and deterioration years ago. We had the dealer clean and reprepare the surface of the wheel and reinstall the tires, which did make a significant difference, but in time, the slow leaks return. I've looked into this in the past and read that it's a common problem with certain GM wheels. In fact, I had a 2008 Sierra that had the same problem. If I remember, that truck had what I believed to be polished aluminum wheels, which I also believe our SRX has.

Either way, we are now in the market for a new car and are wanting to get a XT5. I just want to be sure we don't end up with another car with those ****ty wheels.

Anyone know about it or have an opinion about the newer wheels? Has GM figured it out?

Thanks in advance.
