OK, got the 2015 Luxury Edition SRX home (Orange County, CA) from Phoenix where I purchased it. When viewing all the pics, I thought it had chrome wheels. Come to find out when cleaning off the bugs that these are wheels skins that go over the stock wheels.

My 2014 Luxury Edition had the aluminum wheels with bright machined finish as standard, and I would assume the 2015 would be the same. This also shows in the brochure.

I don't even see these wheel skins listed in the 2015 brochure, yet they have the Caddie logo and the aftermarket versions appear different. Does anyone know if they were a factory or dealer option, or just aftermarket?

If I remove these things, am I going to find some stamped steel wheel under there or would this just have been put over the stock wheel?

I assume that if I do remove them, it is going to scratch the original surface (if not already scratched from the prior installation), if it's under there. Is there any way to avoid this?

Kinda cheezy if you ask me..., or my wife.
