The lesser the distance between the tar mat and the edge of your rim, the more likely
to take on some damage to either the wheels or the car itself.

There were 17 cars at the side of a stretch of #495 this morning with "blown" tires from hitting water filled "potholes."

 

If the pot holes were filled with water, why is it that the cars didnt glide/hydroplane across ?

Did you see that 5 of the top 10 are in CA ? And we have the highest tax rate for fuel .. so
much for giving spending money to the politicians.

 

Well, first off, those cars were all not at the same location but over a ten mile stretch. Explanation is our rolling snow and then rain storms along with daily fluctuations of temperatures from 17 degrees to 47 degrees.
And the auto manufacturers are concentrating on higher milage figures. They haven't got to "walking on water yet!"
(Article in paper yesterday about a firm in Switzerland that has a prototype vehicle that looks like a hard top version of the Miata that will run submerged in water as deep as forty seven feet. I would guess there would be a good market for such a car in Switzerland?)

With the prototype in Switzerland , are they aiming at the NOLA ( New Orleans ) automobile market?

 

Why didn't you mention ...."Gotcha"............. (with a car like this, they wouldn't have to rebuild the "dikes."
