I bought a 95 STS two days ago.On the test drive car it ran great, she churped the tires in first(alot) and even second gear and ran strong out of the hole!!!Now after I bought the car it will only pick up good at around 40 MPH.under that she wont rev strong.I figure i sucked up bad gas or something but I have now clue.I want my baby to run strong out of the hole again!!!Please help me out if you think you know whats up with my caddy?

can you tell if the car is starting out in 1st gear?
If you have a traction control problem it defaults to 2nd gear starts, very sdluggisdh til 40.

Thanks for the info man!!!Even thought I manualy put the car into first gear it will still start off in second if the traction control is not working, because I tried that and she still rolls slow off the line?

You need to fix the traction control problem.
It will start in second and be "slow off the line" even if you put the shifter in low.

I just found out from a post on the caddy edge site that the problem is my wheel speed sensor. They say if the traction control is not working and your abs light is on at the same time that it is a wheel speed sensor problem...And I just bought the car a week ago and I believe when the mechanic did the rear pads that he might of damaged or forgot to plug it back in or something. The car ran so sweet before and after it didn't so I think I got her figured out!!!Thanks to my fellow caddy owners!!!!!!!!
