Torres has had the best winning record of any manager in Yankee history and I do believe The "big boss" knows it.
The big question is this weekend in Boston and will they play Rodger Clemens? The sportswriters all doubt they will see Rodger pitch here. A loss could devastate their fan support. Will be interesting to see.
Yankee fans "suck" anyway. They're used to booing the guy that only hits singles.
Had a nice touch just before the game with Cleveland last night when Trot Nixon (who played right field here for the last ten years) and is now with Cleveland was called to home plate with his wife and presented with a plaque from the Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund for all their work for charity while here. Nixons wife was aked to make the first pitch of the game and I thought Veritec was going to pull a groin muscle racing towards the pitching mound so as to catch the pitch on the fly. She was met by all the Red Sox wifes when leaving the field and there was a very emotional moment.
What a great year to be a Red Sox fan.

HOW 'BOUT THEM YANKEES,SO LONG jOE IT'S BEEN NICE KNOWIN YA, BUT WITH THE HIGHEST PAYROLL IN BASEBALL AND NO WORLD SERIES, I'M SURPRISED YOU HAVE BEEN THERE THIS LONG.
Damn I almost hate to agree with you G.A.R.Y. but I now think that Torre won't make it til this time next week! starting a 10 game road trip 0-1 by losing to Toronto is a bad omem. 3 & 7 gets Joe to feel George's rath!

Playing well against the Sox was a must, that's why he is still around.

Happy B-day Zin. Sox playing .700 going into June, 14.5 ahead of the Yanks. Yanks 0-2 on road trip- Jeter has an error-Petite lets home get stolen and Alex fields a bunt goin' foul! Zin does it get any better?

G.A.R.Y. keep next week open as Mr Torre will need an Everglades fishing guide.

Jeter gets two errors, A-Rod doesn't know where to cover, Abreu looks like he's on dancing with stars while avoiding the wall, and Torre with the bases loaded-----why would they warm up a pitcher. And the 28 million dollar man we have to wait on! G.A.R.Y. cancel va-ca plans 'cause Joe will be Everglade fishin' by Tuesday! Happy belated B-Day Zin!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Should be a good pitchers dual tonight and being a Boston fan makes one want to see a closer race than this.

A little old lady is walking down the street, dragging two plastic
garbage bags, one in each hand. There's a hole in one of the bags,
and once in a while a $20 bill flies out of it onto the pavement.

Noticing this, a policeman stops her. "Ma'am, there are $20 bills
falling out of that bag..."

"Damn!" says the little old lady ... "I'd better go back and see if
I can find some of them. Thanks for the warning!"

"Well, now, not so fast," says the cop. "How did you get all that money?
Did you steal it?"

"Oh, no", says the little old lady. "You see, my back yard backs up to
the parking lot of Fenway Park.

Each time there's a game,
a lot of fans come and pee in the bushes,
right into my flower beds!"
So, I go and stand behind the bushes
with a big hedge clipper, and
each time someone sticks his thingie
through the bushes, I yell:
'$20 or off it comes!'"

"Hey, not a bad idea!" laughs the cop.
"Good luck!" By the way, what's
in the other bag?"

"Well", says the little old lady, "Not all of them pay"
