I live in Sydney, Australia, I have just purchased a 1968 Coupe Deville. The previous owner told me it is in it's original colour of Buttercup Yellow but I cannot find any record of a Cadillac in this factory colour. I appreciate any help

Welcome, Car should be a pale yellow. The Fisher Body plate ( under hood/bonnet on firewall or cowl) will have original color code. Cadillac did not use Buttercup yellow they did use Kashmir Ivory code (40) which appears yellowish. Cadillac used same color code -40- in 1969 for Colonial yellow which is buttercup for Chevrolet. Kashmir Ivory appear to be a one year color. Hope it helps
