Hello everyone, my name is Amber. I recently obtained a '08 CTS 3.6DI with AWD in the crystal red tint coat and cashmeere/cocoa interior. It took me forever to be able to get in to this site. I emailed several times about my main email account, but nobody replied. I resorted to using an email I never check. So ontop of saying hello, could somebody please allow me to change to my yahoo email that I have had for 6 yrs? Thank you. I hope to become a regular member of this community and get to know you all well.

Some side information. I traded in a '07 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Limited 4x4. I thought it was what I wanted and very versitile to my needs. BUT after having it in 6 times for transmission issues and averaging 7 mpg city & 10 mpg highway I decided after only 1 year of having the Ford and only 7k miles (from mile 1), I had to get rid of it at any cost. The Cadillac was what I wanted so I finally got my baby. I have enjoyed every second I have spent in my Cadillac. I even go out of my way to get to places, it is so perfect in my eyes.

So thank you all for finally allowing me to join, and maybe a mod can contact me about my email address? Thank you kindly!

Many of the spammers and site raiders are using the "free" email accounts .. because of that, websites are starting to require paying email accounts .. I dont know if we have achieved that level, but I will inquire.

That 3.6 engine and the AWD is one of the most coveted combinations in any car for '08. You should enjoy the epxerience. Maybe some day, Cadillac will offer a CTS-V AWD .. but that day is not here yet.

Thank you for the welcome I have to say the CTS is so much fun & VERY smooth to drive. I only have 1 complaint, the placement of the side mirrors. I have noticed a TREMENDOUS blind spot no matter where I adjust my seat. I am only 5'2" and I have to keep moving my eyes around like a prarie dog to insure I don't miss someone that might be in that particular blind spot. It was brought to my attention when I almost hit someone while I was making a left turn, couldn't see them....plus they were a car length past the white stop line also making a left turn, but I still should be able to see.Oh well I suppose it keeps me on my toes.Other then that I love the car, I don't think there is anything else I would change on it.

Maybe I need a booster seat as well....LOL.
