Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I'm in negotiation for a 1990 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with 130,000 miles on it. Excellent/Mint condition with the 4.5 V-8. I've checked out this car in person and it is truly beautiful, almost new. I've checked the KBB and Edmunds value of the car and all fall within the $1,400 - $2,400 range. My max offer has been $2500...The seller's low was $4500. I realize the resale value/true market value/suggested retail value falls way below what the car "should" be worth. Does this mean I should pay 2K over the actual value of the car or is the seller being unrealistic?

I learned how to drive on a 1992 Deville and took my driving test in a 1995 Deville, so I'm very familiar with this vehicle and absolutely love it, but I dont feel as though I'm lowballing the seller.

What do you think?

Thanks,
Chris
