window wont go up
the front passenger window in my 94 fleetwood just stopped going up today. Its stuck all the way down so im really in need of some help. It dosent make any noise when i try to get it up. How can i take off the door panel to get to the motor? and from that point how can i diagnose a bad motor?
With the key on, window switch held in the up position, bang the door panel down low towards the front. If the window raises, then the regulator bound up. Common on GM cars. You can either not put the window fully down or remove the trim panel to adjust the down stop a little bit higher. Whenever a window fails to operate, the first thing to ck is the drivers master switch for voltage present. If voltage is at the switch, then the switch is faulty, if no power then there is the possibility of a broken wire between the body and the door by the hinges.
