Cool V coupe window issue after battery disconnect

This is an FYI for other CTS owners (mine is an '11 V Coupe) who disconnect the battery during winter storage periods to avoid battery drain. I noticed when I reconnected the battery that the window auto-up feature (auto-down continued to work) at the switch and the slight auto-down and auto-up mode when you open/close the door stopped working. Per the dealer, the computer "forgets" these operations when power is interrupted. To correct do the following: turn the ignition "on" (or start the car), fully lower the window, then fully raise the window and hold the switch in the "up" position for two seconds after the window reaches full up. Perform this procedure for each window and the computer will "re learn" these "auto" functions.

@REDRACER, did performing this step on each door take care of your situation?

Thumbs up Retraining windows on V Coupe

Yes, the original auto features were restored (should have included that in the orig. post), it just takes a second to perform and was very easy to do. Thought it was good info for other folks that store their hotrods.
