i belive you have to screw the pistons back in, there should be two notches cut into the pistons, and there is a tool (brake cube) that will fit into these and tighten them in, it takes quite a few turns to get them all the way back in

the C-CLAMP works well in the front calipers but not in the rear calipers.
at least not in the Allanté. no amount of pressing will move the piston.

for the REAR calipers, i got a little spanner wrench type of tool to retract the
rear pistons, tool # K-D 3163, which is a little metal cube that
attaches to a 3/8" drive and has lugs that fit into the slots on the pistons.

the tool is used in the Allanté, dont know what other Cadillacs it fits.

lol

Yeah, I have the same tool, and am not too thrilled about it. The bow-tie shaped notches are too shallow, and when turning the cube with a simple 3/8" socket wrench, it often slips and I bust my knuckles. Usually, I have to hold the caliper with one hand and struggle turning the cube with the other. Maybe there are better tools out there, but since I do this rather infrequently, so far haven't botherd with getting one.
