Default parasitic battery drain

97 eldorado, battery drains completely when car is shut off for about 5 hours. Replaced battery. Alternator shows 14.2 charging. Belts are tight. After about 5 hrs, completely dead, no lights, radio etc. Charged battery and works fine. I have put a battery disconnect switch so I can still use the car. I disconnect the battery after use, so there is no drain, then re-connect when ready for use. Any ideas for troubleshooting? I have checked for any motors running after shutdown, even crawled in the trunk with lid closed to listen for sounds, none. I figure something with that big of a draw would be obvious. Have checked the lights for drainage, none. Car runs fine on the road. Any suggestions? Thanks. pmakki@aol.com

doesnt work that way.
usual culprits are trunk pull down & door locks.

this is time for a test meter and checking for voltage when there should be none or disconnecting items ..

if you disconnect these items, the drain will probably go away.
then you know what needs replacing.
