Default Motor mounts in late 70's-80's with Olds motors?

I'll try to keep this brief. Hope I'm in the right forum.

Read online somewhere that some of the Cadillacs (Fleetwood specifically) that ended up with the Olds Small Block (family of 260/307/350/403, gas or diesel) used a motor mount "adapter" that mated the Olds block up to a Chevy motor mount.

In searching a 1982 Fleetwood motor mount on Napaonline.com, I see that the Olds 350 diesel motor mount is indeed the same as a 1985 Chev 1/2 ton truck with Chev V8.

I just can't find reference to when the setup changed, or what it was comprised of. I'd like to find the brackets (if they exist) so that I can utilize polyurethane motor mounts with the Olds motor.

Looking at a 1985 Fleetwood listing on napaonline, the motor mount shown for the 350 diesel had changed, leading me to believe that they might have changed the mount by then.

Thank you for any help you can provide as to applications, year range, location of parts, etc.

Here is exactly what I am trying to do.

I've got a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon. I would like to utilize polyurethane motor mounts, however none are made for the Oldsmobile motors.

They are of course available for the small block chev.

If the Fleetwood with Olds motors (at least some years) did use these "adapters" to mate Chev mounts with Olds motors, I need to figure out what years, so I know what to look/ask for at the wrecking yards and online.

So far all I've seen online is one reference to these adapters existing, and the part listing at napaonline to "prove" the setup existed.

I'm asking for clarification from the experts here if this setup did exist, and what years.

Thank You!

The late '80s/early '90s Sevilles were available with the Olds sneezel, but those are FWD vehicles. Some Fleetwoods had Chevy engines in them. I've never known of a Cad other than the early Sevilles to have an Olds engine, but it could have happened, I suppose. My memory ain't what it used to be...

Knowing very little of the Cadillacs, I assume that the Fleetwood was one of the only RWD Cadillac models in existence at the time?

Unfortunately those Olds diesels were never that popular and from the parts listings, if a diesel Fleetwood was the only application that used some sort of adapter mount, I'm going to have a HARD time finding them.

Diesel used a bar that mounted on the side of the block just above pan rail. HT4100 used same motor mount set up as chevy. I believe they used the 4100 bracket. It is not hard to fabricate mount/engine brackets. you will need lift, welder, drill press, and 3/8" X 1" bar stock.

Interesting. I've had a diesel Olds motor out of a Cutlass before, and I recall that they used a similar bracket setup.

I'll have to check into fabricating my own. It's always fun scrounging the 'yards though.

Appreciate the input.

Never saw the unique diesel mount Cadillac used, on an Olds....they used the standard V8 mounts. Olds pushed the diesel more than the others divisions. For the limited amount of diesel Cadillac DeVilles and Fleetwoods they sold it would make sense to adapt engine to car. If the diesel would have lasted til 86 when the Olds 307 became standard engine, the special brackets would have likely when away. Sevilles and Eldorados never required anything special to install. FWD could use Toronado lay out and RWD Seville already used Olds engine.
