could some one help, the drivers side of the car infront of the wheel well, in the area behind the front bumper, there is some kind of hose's that go into somekind of canister that goes into the engine in the front, i turn the car on with out the engine running and this thing makes a running noise and the cable will vibrate, when the engine is running you can still hear the canister running. I feel like a fool asking some one at a repair shop what this is, maybe someone in this forum will know. Any help would really be helpful

 

It maybe the Electric vacuum pump, HT4100 could not provide enough vacuum for all accessories to work, so additional vacuum pumps were added. DeVille had one under left front fender, it was redesigned and used a different mounting bracket. The pump look aboul the same but 1 bolt was 90* from where the original was...so a different mounting bracket was required.

 

Could also be the air pump for the suspension...
