Default help with code RO55

I replaced my dash cluster due to no display on the dic or climate control. I am now getting a airbag warning light with the following code. I ran a diagnostic ans this is the code: R055 .................................................. ........ DERM Incompatibility
After getting this code I unplugged the new cluster and tried the old one. The warning light cycled and then went out like it should. I unplugged the battery and connected the new one again. Same code and service air bag in dic. It went off once on the first day that I installed it and I reset all codes. It came back on the next time that I started it and remains. Please help.

Thanks
Scott

Would seem like you have the wrong part number cluster.

Hello...I see that this was published many years ago. I have recently done the same change. Is there anyway of programming the new cluster to work or does one have to get one with the exact part number and julian date?

Thank you for your answer.

This type is not re-flashed at dealer, so no.
