Default Heater isnt functioning

I just purchased an 87 Brougham and have never owned a Cadillac before. It has an automatic climate control but when I turn the heat on no matter what setting whether it be Low-High or Defrost I cannot feel any air coming out. The previous owner said that had always been the case with the car and it was because of the automatic climate control. Is this true or is the blower motor not functioning?

If you do not hear the blower working, or feel any ar coming from any of the outlets, then the blower is most likely not blowing. Now...with Auto Climate control, the blower may not begin blowing immediately, depending on the temp setting you have it on, and the actual temp inside the car. If you have it on Auto-heat, all the way to hot, it will usually not blow air until the engine temp is hot enough to provide warm air to the cabin.
Does the fan just never blow at all, no matter how long the engine has been running? If this is the case, it could be something as simple as a blown fuse, or something as bad as a blower module that has failed.

I have the interior climate control set to 80* with it being about 22* outside. I have tried everything from starting the car half an hour early with the heat going as high as it will go to driving around and letting it warm up that way and it doesnt make a difference. There is some heat coming from the car but its radiant and definitely not having anything come from the the blower motor. Radiator was just flushed and the thermostat was replaced so I know the problem isnt there

If you don't hear blower, check for 12v at blower connector. If 12v present ground blower housing see if comes on, if not it needs a blower motor. post what you have or if you hear blower and no air flow, repost
