Default Fuel-Starved '67 DeVille

My factory 429 has some (MSD 6A, Pertronix distributor converstion & coil, Taylor 409 wires) ignition and dual exhaust upgrades. The Q-Jet has been blueprinted and operates as new. This engine runs great 99% of the time, but falls on its face after only a few seconds at W.O.T. It seems that it's starved for fuel, as it regains its feet immediately after backing off the throttle.
Does someone offer a hi-volume (not hi-pressure) mechanical fuel pump for a '67 429 engine? It shares little with the 472-500 and I would suspect that the same is true here as well. I realize that an electric "helper" pump is also an option. Thanks.

Have you thought about putting on a Holley Gerotor. Its a twelve volt high perf. pump for street and strip. It has 3/8 inlet, outlet fittings,125GPH internally regulated at &psi so no need for separate regulator. You could eliminate your mech.one altogether. Sounds like you have quite a beast there. Pumps run around $180....

Yes, I have but will need a block-off plate for the block. I'm guessing the bolt spacing should be standard GM, but this thing has surprised me before. Okay, guys. Can I use a block-off plate commonly sold for Chevys, etc.? Thanks.
