Just bought a 1994 Cadillac ElDorado with 68K original miles. Its been running great with no problems. Everything works no engine lights on. Yesterday I made a U turn to park and after I had it parked I noticed a noise. Then about an hour later I came back to my car to go to the gym started it up and there is a pretty loud whining noise. I pop the hood and it sounds like its comming from somewhere underneath where you put power steering fuid in. My power steering works perfectly fine still and the car runs fine still but it has this nasty whining noise. Any ideas what this could be? Ive always owned small hondas and stuff and dont know much about these cars but dont want to get taken advantage of at the auto place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
