Cadillac CTS Service Question: Break Lights out..bulb or fuse?
I realize that this may sound like a silly question, but today a driver stopped me and said both my brake lights were out. She said the top light(CTS) was still working but both tail lights were out. I had no idea and I tried to figure out if all the brake lights are on the same fuse and is it worth it to change the fuse box or if I should run right to service and have them change the bulbs to see if this is the problem. The last thing I need is to be overcharged for something that requires a minimal amount of money. Any thoughts?

I just posted in the wrong spot and then I found you guys. While driving today, somebody stopped me and said both brake lights were out. Of course I was immediately upset and did not know if it was a fuse or a bulb problem because my CTS top brake light is still working. I need to go to service but worry about being charged an absorbent amount of money for a simple procedure and wondered how to tell the difference. Does anybody here have knowledge of this type of problem? I sure could use the help as the holidays are coming and getting an appointment with the Cadillac dealership is almost next to impossible.
Also, is it ever a good idea to allow other mechanics to service your Cadillac while its still under warranty...even for something so small as a fuse change or bulb change?
