Hey. This is the same topic I posted recently. I tore into the wiring in my trunk that was burning and traced it two brown wires that had a spliter into four brown wires. The burning starts right at the connection and goes through all four wires. One of the brown wires goes into the fuse box for the left taillights. The other three go into sockets for the lights. I noticed you could unplug all these but was wondering if there is plug ins anywhere in the car before the two to four wire connection. What I want to do is replace all the wiring coming into the trunk and going back to the fuse box, but didnt want to have to cut all those wires and solder them, mainly because there are numerous wires of the same color and it would get complicated. Im really confused why this would have happened but need to get it fixed asap. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know or give me some ideas as what to do.Thanks
