How is everyone doing today! I just bought a 1995 Cadillac Deville and my problem is that my trunk and my gas keep being activated when the button isnt pushed. It only does it when the light switch is being used! When I pull the light switch for the pakring lights or the headlights the trunk solenoid, and gas solenoid keep opening. Also when I turn the parking lights on or the headlamps the light underneth the hood turns on, but once I turn the parking lights off or headlights off the light underneth the hood cuts off. What could be the problem, what is needed to fix it, and f anything how much would it cost to get this problem fixed?

 

Well the first 2 sound like a short with the light switch the third problem of the hood sounds normal except for the light being on all the time when you turn the lights on it may be a bad hood switch.


I have a 91 Deville and the light dose not come on at night unless I have the head lights on so then that probably means there’s some type of switch on hood the controls it going off when closed and on when open.
