Driver side brake light, side a bulb is out, do I replace the bulb or the entire brake light

 

In most cars, if you reach from the back side, you should see the harness, disconnect that and twist the bulb out.

replace with the proper bulb, and for long term reliability, buy one with a brass base as those tend to not oxidize. also, if you put a smear of di-electric grease on the base, that will waterproof the connection and make things stay like new for a long long time.

What type of led bulb would you need? Because my left brake light went out to or do I got to replace the whole tail light?
