Hello everybody, I have this problem with my 2000 Deville. I was backing up out of a parking lot the other day and when I went to put the car into Drive it would not respond. Now the car is stuck in reverse on the digital dash, at first I thought that it might be a broken cable from the collum shifter but that all checks out okay, I can feelthe car move from park into neutral etc.. but it still remains in reverse on the digital dash, hence the problem I cant start the car because it thinks it is in reverse still!! I thought next that it might be an PRNDL switch problem but after doing a little reserch in the service manuals that I have it think the instrument cluster might have a short in it and need to be replaced, ANY IDEAS????
