I have a problem with my sts ,it will not start sercurity light is flashing also displays EXP 1033,tried leaving ingition on for about 10 minutes untill the sercuity has stopped and turned the key on and off as advised without any success,any ideas

just a thought..... try disconnecting the battery negitive for aprox 20 minutes. reconnect, and see what happens. oh, pull codes if you can and let us know.

codes p1631 "theft sys password incorect",po603 "pcm keep active mem error/reset",first thing i tried is disconecting the battery. the problem is as its a rnd uk car and the guys who usally sort this sort of problem dont have cadillac softwear,its a shame the car is a low mileage car and in fantasic condition ,and it looks like i may have to brake for spares as i have run out of options

 

Hi , i have been advised today it could be the PCM (power train module) thats at fault,any advice you guys may have before i buy one of these.
