Default oil leaves green residue

hey i just changed my oil today. its been just over 3k miles. the oil was really dirty. seemed to be dark black. i didnt think it would be this dirty for just 3k miles. could a faulty PCV valve be contaminating my oil? when i went to put oil in the engine, under the cap i noticed green gunk that i could wipe off with my finger. dosent look pleasent, id hate to see the inside of my engine. Its a 94 fleetwood 5.7 L. What could be the cause of this nasty looking oil residue and dark lookingoil.

I am going to ask on another froum, The LT 1, even though a 5.7 V8, sorry to say, is not a Chevy Small block and it has a lot of aluminum in there and is prone to head seal and water pump housingproblems. Sorry to bring up that news but we will see.
