Default Engine Shut Off Due to No Distributor Signal

I have a 93 Cadillac Seville V8 4.9L. A few months ago Ireplaced the distributor andwires withhigh performance cap, rotor, coil and wires. Now the car shuts off while I am driving it randomly. The trouble codes are P012-No distributor signal and P053-Distributor signal interupt. Is there something specific I need to look for in order to resolve this problem.

Please help!

Poor ground(s) is where to start. Check ones at alternator and block near starter. It's also possible ECM is bad. After review of you post did you replace distributor or just cap, rotor, & wires?

And did you transfer the ground strap from the old coil to the new coil?
