Default New Map sensor didn't fix the problem

Hello all! I have a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS. 101,000 miles.

About a week ago the car started stalling. Well stalling and surging.
I took it to Autozone and the car was popping P0101 (Map Sensor).

I replaced the sensor and I still have the same problem.

Any ideas?[>:]

So check the hose to it. codes only point to the area to diagnose, rarely to replacing a component. If voltage doesn't get to it, if the hose is kinked or full of moisture then that code will set and the MAP itself is OK. Having a code and no service manual only leads to parts replacement which gets expensive.

Geeze P0101 is the MAF sensor not the MAP..... should have checked the info on the Autozone scanner myself......

And on and on. I replaced the MAF sensor. Cleared the codes via the climate control and within 5-10 seconds it pops the code again (P0101).

I am going to borrow a friends OBD2 scan tool, does anyone know what "normal" readings are from the MAF at idle?
