Hi I have a 95 sls and the engine keeps showing the engine coolant temp overheat light and stops the motor for a few seconds then goes back to normal the temp will jump from 158 to 230 just jumping back and forth what do I check does anyone know what could be going wrong??

 

If you are adding water constantly, it may be a blown head gasket.
