Default Swap Ford engine to GM engine??

Hi,

I have an unusual question regarding the engines. Is it (technically) possible to swap a Lincoln engine and put in a Cadillac one?
For example:
1977 Lincoln Continental throw out the engine and put in olds 350 Diesel (yes, I know..).
Do you think it would be an expensive and difficult operation?

Thank you for your help,

Philip

You would have to swap the transmission too. Newer cars/engine you will need to adapt the engine electronics. Anything is possible with enough $$$$$.

Sometimes the engine / trans install is the easy part. I have not heard of a adapter to mount Ford trans to non Ford engine. Fuel lines can be a concern, and Diesels use an hydraulic brake booster vs. vacuum booster. Driveshaft, ,charging system, P/S pump, A/C compressor mountings can all be issues when somewhat radical swaps are done on street driven vehicles.
