where is my flasher unit?

Default where is my flasher unit?

HI, I have a 53 eldo and i cannot find the flasher unit, the manual says [engine side of the dash] ER no. nowhere to be found, any clues? thanks.

Wow...this is going back a ways!
The early turn sig flashers may not look like the round ones you're used to seeing today. The early ones looked more like a relay...boxy. Not sure where it would be located on a '53 Eldo, tho. Actually, the newer, electronic flashers look like relays, too...
Behind the dash maybe, but most likely it will be in the engine compartment, close to the steering column area, or possibly on the driver side fenderwell. I can dig into my service manual stash, but don't know if I have one that shows the flasher. Might take a while to dig out the older ones..
