Ok its probably just my bad eye sight, but I can not find the turn signal unit. I got under the dash next to the steering column and have looked everywhere I can think of. I did find the hazarad flasher unit but have not been able to find the turn signals. Oh yeah its on a 98 Deville

It's well hidden.
IIRC you pull out the headlamp switch and reach up and toward the steering column.
Or pull out the lower dash and fish your way up there.
