Default 84 Seat moving by itself!

Hi, I have been restoring an 84 Biarritz and sometimes the drivers seat moves around by itself!! It is not always, but when it does, it kills the battery. Even with the car shut off.

I have not found a short in any wire, and it is a 3 motor, 6 way power seat.

Is there a Power seat Memory Control Module somewhere in the car for the 1984? I cannot seem to find one, but any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Jack

My guess would be switch due water intrusion (rain). Switch is hard to find unfortunately. the 1 motor seat is more common.

Its not the switch, the seat now moves by itself, with the switch removed.

Short in wiring - two or more wires shorting together....somewhere. I would look where things move first. Under seat and driver door jam conduit. Then under front carpet on drivers' side. Possibly wiring under drivers feet caused chaffing water leak where connectors get wet causing short(s). This may be a very hard to solve concern. Good Luck.

It was in the seat memory box, under the seat, attached to the motors. It was shorted.

May be it will not screw up tightly and this evolving in the movement of the seat,or other issue may be counted but its not a major issue so relax from it,it will be sort out quickly.
