2013 torque converter
Ah the 2013 XTS my 4th and probably my last Cadillac. 148,000 miles of pure interstate travel. Should last a long time right? WRONG! All 4 wheel bearings replaced, cue touch screen won’t work and now a shutter during normal acceleration. Took it into the Cadillac dealer for repair. $1300 later they said it was “better” so what was the 1300 for? An oil change, transmission fluid flush, and another wheel bearing that they said was not actually bad but something on the axle was bad. Drove it off and still had the transmission shutter. Which from the forums looks like a module adjustment or a torque converter replacement. So now I have 1300 plus another 1400 to fix the cue and then who knows, 2000 for a torque converter? Look up the KBB and see the trade in value is estimated at $6 to $8000. Take all the repairs needed it the $68,000 sticker price is now down to effectively zero. Oh yeah none of the dealers want to touch it to repair. What’s it worth as SCRAP.
