CT5-V availablility
Hi, all!
Just wondering what others are seeing as far as CT5-V availability, specifically ability to order your desired configuration. I've been ordering cars for 50 years (first was a 1976 Grand Prix), and never seen the situation I'm running into now. My local dealer tells me they don't have any allocation to order a car, and haven't been able to for over a month. They have one on the lot that I'm not interested in, and say that they won't be able to order another one until they sell the one they've got. They claim to be the largest volume dealer in my state (Mississippi), but say their volume is in Escalades. They're laying the restriction problem off on Cadillac corporate, saying Cadillac got themselves into a bad spot when they decided to move hard toward EVs a couple of years ago, and now don't have the production capacity to meet the demand for ICE vehicles (at least sedans, that is).
I've also contacted a couple more dealers within reasonable driving distance, and I'm getting the same story about 'no allocation to order another car.'
Anyway, just wondering what anyone else may know about the situation. It's really frustrating when I've got the money in my pocket to spend and can't get anyone to supply the car.
TIA,
Greg
