traction control

RE: traction control
What year is your car? If it's OBD-I (1990-95) then you can press the OFF and warmer (red) buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds untill the LED's light up. It will then enter diagnostics mode and show you the codes. If it's OBD-II (1996-01) you can do the same thing by pressing the OFF and passenger warmer buttons simultaneouly on the climate control panel.
The codes will reveal what the problem is.

RE: traction control
OFF is climate control off. Appears to me like you have a bad ABS sensor on one of your drivewheels. This would explain the ABS light and TRACTION DISABLED. Traction control works through the ABS system by automatically applying brake to the spinning drive wheel that has broken traction. If one sensor is gone the ABS can't perform and since Traction Control is run off ABS the computer disables it.
